Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is an aesthetic surgery for the female genitalia, which involves reduction of the labia. Patients who wish to do this surgery because their labia are either hangs, or appears to be too long. Not only that, some patients complain of discomfort when wearing tight undergarments.

Nowadays, laser technique had been introduced into the labiaplasty. By using laser cutter, there will be high precision to the marked area because the depth of the incision can be easily control. Furthermore, using laser cutter can prevent the damage in the blood vessel which could make the healing process become faster. This procedure will be performed under sleep medications, then the surgeon will remove the excess tissue from the labia. Finally, the surgeon will close the incision using dissolvable stitch. In the first or two weeks there might be some swelling but it would get back into shape as time passes.
